Discernment Racial Divisions

Who Have You Written-off As Enemy?

One day the Bridegroom will appear before humankind. Is your heart ready? In preparation for their weddings, brides keep their gowns free of soil which would ruin the great day of her appearance. We are called to keep our ‘wedding garment’ free of worldly soil: anger, pride, conceit, bias, racial and political divisions.

10 Ways to Gain Spiritual Ground for Your Life

  1. Ask the Bridegroom to reveal His purpose for your life.
  2. Lay aside distractions. Pray for spiritual clarity.
  3. Ask Christ to order your footsteps. Pray for deep understanding.
  4. Ask for the removal of spiritual ‘eye scales’ from the vision of those yet to surrender.
  5. Pray for your land, regardless of the political vitriol. Know our spiritual enemy revels in chaos and hate and fear and terror and will use secular media to enrage us and divide us.
  6. Pray for strategy while walking or talking or writing about righteous indignation.
  7. Pray for your local and national leaders, regardless of their actions. We too walked in darkness. We said and did things which were offensive… maybe even down-right shameful (been there, done that, you?).
  8. Who have you written-off as enemy? Begin there. Perhaps the person you hold bitterness or bias towards is the very person you can begin praying for.
  9. Give others the same grace God gives you.
  10. Dare you to pray for the ‘Samaritans’ and ‘uncircumcised’ of heart.

I will greatly rejoice in the Lord;

my soul shall exult in my God,

for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation;

he has covered me with the robe of righteousness,

as a bridegroom decks himself like a priest with a beautiful headdress,

and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. { Isaiah 61:10 }
